Demand Media's acquisition of eHow.com added to its robust SEO strategy for digital publishing. In preparation for Demand's IPO, the site had to be completely re-architected to become a trusted, consumer brand that garnered direct, repeat traffic, as well as attracting national advertising dollars across industry verticals.
People are curious and DIY is scalable. It does not always mean building, repairing or finishing projects. It is often simply learning about topics and/ or completing very small, every day tasks.
The brand became one of the largest, consumer digital properties online with a reach that was larger than most cable networks.
